As part of its continuing growth, SBS has announced the appointment of Steve Roberts to the senior management team as Operations Manager.
Steve joined the company at the end of April 2019, but this is not his first experience of Sustainable Building Services. He has twenty years' history of working with company chair Derek Horrocks, and prior to a two year period with another construction sector business, he spent many years working as SBS's Commercial Manager.
His new role will entail managing and overseeing the delivery of key projects. He will be working closely with the construction and commercial team and engaging with senior level client representatives - reporting on safety, delivery, quality and costs. Most immediately, he will be involved in two new energy efficiency schemes in the South West of England.
“Steve is an excellent addition to the company,” notes company chair, Derek Horrocks. "I've worked closely with Steve for over twenty years and he has an excellent understanding of our work, our structure and culture.
"We've been successful in securing a lot of new work recently, much of it in geographical areas where we've only recently gained a foothold. Steve returning to the team means we've got the experience we need to grow the business while sustaining the highest levels of quality, safety and client satisfaction."
