As an employer, we are delighted to have successfully achieved Silver Investors in People (IIP) status again. SBS has been accredited against the Investors in People Standard since February 2008 and have gained value from subsequent re-assessments, with our most previous being our Silver accreditation success back in 2023.
This prestigious accreditation has been attained during a time of remarkable growth, as we have more than doubled the number of employees since 2023’s assessment, making the achievement even more impressive.
The IIP’s assessment report highlighted areas of particular strength, along with some focus areas we could build upon. We had a high 75% response rate to the IIP’s online assessment which helped formed the basis of this report, indicating a good level of staff engagement.
Highlights include how SBS continues to demonstrate an ambition to achieve higher level working practices and how we have a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

- Your people are proud to work for SBS and feel a strong alignment with the social value work that you do and the impact you have on people’s lives
- Your people enjoy coming to work at SBS and people have good working relationships. This was supported by a number of people commenting that the people are one of the best things about working for SBS
- Your people have high levels of trust in Leadership within SBS
- There is a strong sense of optimism about the future for the organisation, and your people described the business growth and opportunity.
The Investors in People’s principle of ‘putting people first’ is very much in line with our own philosophy and we are very proud of these results.
