Nottingham City Homes has recently published a short video, highlighting some of the important steps it has been taking to improve sustainability and energy efficiency within the city. Amongst others, these include:
Back in August, we announced that we had begun work on an ECO3-funded energy efficiency project for Broxtowe Borough Council, procured via Efficiency East Midlands. This involves installing PermaRock external wall insulation to 61 properties.
Work is now approximately two-thirds complete and still progressing quickly. The team is on track for finishing the scheme on or ahead of schedule
We recently reported that SBS had won new works in Broxtowe and Rykneld, and that both schemes had been procured via Efficiency East Midlands (EEM). This illustrates how important the framework has been to us since we were appointed to it in 2017.
SBS is part way through the delivery of an energy efficiency scheme in Calderdale, carried out on behalf of Places for People. The work entails replacing storage heaters and hot water cylinders in various properties in the West Yorkshire town of Elland, just south of Halifax. It also entails full bathroom replacements including the installation of new showers over baths. Related works including tiling, flooring, plumbing and electrics.
