Introduction
This scheme is being delivered for Star Housing, which manages properties on behalf of Shropshire Council in the Oswestry & Bridgnorth areas. It is funded via SHDF Wave 1.
Devised as a multi-measure decarbonisation scheme, the works feature various improvements to 26 occupied homes. They are all of Cornish-style construction and include 6 mid-terraced properties, 10 end-terraces and 11 semi-detached houses.
The project
Retrofit assessments began in late 2022, and work on site commenced in January 2023.
The external wall insulation (EWI) system designer PermaRock Products provided early design and technical support, as did the suppliers of the new doors, windows and heat recovery systems.
Results
Installation work is now well advanced and is expected to be completed on time and on budget, in the summer of 2023.
