SBS has announced that it will be a co-sponsor of the National Insulation Association’s AGM and industry policy briefing, and a special Parliamentary Reception, which will be held at the House of Commons Terrace on Monday 6th June.

SBS is a long-standing member of the NIA, which represents the insulation industry in the United Kingdom, spearheading its future and raising standards within the industry. Members include suppliers, manufacturers, system designers and installers of insulation measures, alongside associated industry stakeholders. The Association is currently chaired by Derek Horrocks, who is also chair and owner of the Sustainable Group (UK) Ltd.

The exclusive member and invite-only events will feature two key elements – first an exclusive policy briefing, which will be held at Broadway House (Tothill Street, London, SW1H 9NQ.) Here, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in an informal session and hear invited speakers talking about key issues affecting the sector. They will also be able to engage with officials from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

This will be followed in the evening by a Parliamentary Reception in the House of Commons Terrace Pavilion with Lord Callanan, Minister for Business, Energy and Corporate Responsibility. The event will serve as a forum at which NIA members, policymakers and other stakeholders can discuss industry developments and celebrate the work of the insulation sector. They can hear key speaker Lord Callanan share his thoughts on the government’s priorities for energy efficiency and the role insulation can play in the journey to net zero.
