In February 2020, the public sector procurement body LHC announced the results of its Whole House Refurbishment & Improvements Framework (WH2), confirming that Sustainable Building Services had won places on 13 separate lots / regions.

The framework covers minor works for complete refurbishment projects – to be carried out on behalf of public sector organisations throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

In all, we have won lots in the East and West Midlands, South West England, North West England, and North Wales. Contract values will typically range between £250,000 and £5 million.

The minor works encompassed within the framework will include works such as:

  • Complete kitchens/bathrooms
  • Windows/external doors
  • Internal doors
  • Flat or pitched roofing
  • Brickwork replacement
  • Concrete repairs
  • Painting/decorating (internal/external)
  • Disability adaptations
  • Electrical rewires and testing
  • Emergency lighting
  • Plumbing/heating system renewal
  • Above ground drainage surveys/replacement
  • Fencing and gates (metal/timber)
  • Ground maintenance

In all the listed regions, we have been appointed to deliver multi-disciplinary works that could include some or all of the above works. In the North West and the East/West Midlands, we have won additional lots under the category of ‘Whole House Refurbishment Specialisms.’ These specifically relate to kitchen and bathroom replacements, with contract values ranging between £250,000 and £2 million. Likewise, in East/West Midlands, we have won further lots pertaining to painting and decorating, again with values of up to £2 million.
