SBS has long recognised the importance of consumer confidence; of ensuring that homeowners know and understand that we will always treat their property with respect and work to the highest industry standards.
At the end of December 2019, Cheshire Fire Authority wrote to SBS to confirm that its mini competition bid for the ‘Fire House Refurbishment Programme’ had been successful.
Worth approximately £1 million over two and a half years, the scheme was procured via the Fusion 21 Construction Works Framework.
In January 2020, the British Board of Agrément’s audit and inspection team certified that SBS had been awarded the status of a TrustMark Registered Firm.
The TrustMark is a government-endorsed standard that is designed to protect consumers by covering the work they commission in or around their homes.
In December 2019, CHIC (Central Housing Investment Consortium) announced that it had appointed SBS as one of the contractors on its ‘Procurement of Internal and External Building Works Framework.’
Principally, the framework covers planned works for homes across the Midlands, the South and South Wales, although some wider work may be required because some CHIC clients operate nationally.
On 23rd December 2019, Plus Dane Housing announced its decision to appoint SBS to deliver Lot 2 of its Framework Agreement for Sheltered Scheme Refurbishment Works.
Due to start before March 2020, the programme will last between 12 and 18 months, and will entail the refurbishment of sheltered accommodation properties. Plus Dane Housing manages 11 such properties in all, but these will be split into three lots, two of which will be in Merseyside and one in Cheshire.
