Project Complete - Citizen Housing - Energy Efficiency Scheme

SBS has successfully completed an 18-month energy efficiency scheme for Citizen Housing in Coventry.

Worth almost £1.2 million, the scheme entailed installing external wall insulation and render to 118 solid-walled properties. Adaptations included the replacement or extension of soffits, facias and guttering, together with the installation of Switchee smart thermostats.

Eight of the properties were flats, which also benefited from roof replacements. SBS also installed new roofs over several outbuildings.

SBS Supports Jobs Fair, Denbighshire

On 22nd November, SBS staff visited Rhyl town hall in North Wales in support of a jobs fair organised by Working Denbighshire, the Department for Work & Pensions and Denbighshire County Council.

The event, which ran from 10am to 1pm, afforded an opportunity for residents to meet with local employers in sectors including retail, care, hospitality and, of course, construction.

SBS Wins Place on New EN:Procure Framework

In November 2021, SBS received notification that it had won a place on a new framework: the EN:Procure Framework for Installation, Servicing, Maintenance and Repair Works (North West & East Midlands).

The associated works include external wall insulation, external works on high-rise buildings and ‘whole house’ measures, both internal and external. Specifically, the announcement states that SBS has been appointed to six lots:

Award for Winwood Heights Project

Back in 2019, SBS began a project that entailed installing external wall insulation to two 15-storey tower blocks managed by Nottingham City Homes. The two blocks, together with a new, 44-apartment development, comprise an assisted living scheme known collectively as Winwood Heights.
